Visiting with Jean

I have been so busy lately, that I almost forgot to write about Jean's visit!  She arrived in Gardiner on Saturday, June 1.  That evening we went to Norris Geyser Basin and walked around the Back Basin area.  She hadn't been there for years, but I had been there last year with Adam, when my camera batteries died.  We enjoyed seeing Echinus Geyser, Puff 'N Stuff Geyser, Veteran Geyser, Monarch Geyser Crater, and Minute Geyser.

She really wanted to see some animals so we drove around the north loop that evening before it got dark and saw three black bears on the road between Tower and Mammoth.  Jean really wanted to see babies, and she was able to see some elk calves while we were driving around.

When we got back to the house, I barbecued some salmon, made baked potatoes, and asparagus for us.  Jean's always enjoyed my cooking.

The next day we drove to Bozeman and we had lunch at IHOP with some of her co-workers from the nursing home.  It was good to see them again.  That night Jean was going to stay at one of those ladies' places, so we had to go find out where it was.  After that, Jean, Bruce, and I went to the storage units near Four Corners to check up on some of the supplies, and we also put away a couple things left in the garage.  Jean's and Bruce's condo is already occupied by renters and Bruce is staying at a place in the Bozeman area.  Right now he hopes to move back to Washington in August, but we'll see what actually happens.

That Monday morning, I had to get some work done on the Blazer, my car.  I met up with Jean a little that morning.  She had a meeting with my dad about Grandma's estate.  It's amazing how long it takes to conclude with someone's estate after they've passed away.

I miss Jean a lot, and I always look forward to her visits.
